“Elenia Oy is an electricity distribution company that serves 420,000 household, corporate and social customers in more than 100 municipalities in Kanta- ja Päijät-Häme, Pirkanmaa, Central Finland and South and North Ostrobothnia. Elenia is Finland’s second largest electricity distributor with an electricity network of some 69,000 kilometers. We are responsible for the operation and renewal of the electricity grid, for measuring the electricity consumption of our customers and for supplying energy information to the electricity vendors. The construction of the power grid and the electrical connections will be carried out in cooperation with our partner companies. We are developing the future smart grid by utilizing new technology. We want to respond to customers’ expectations, and therefore our goal is to continue to act as a pioneer in the energy sector, especially in digital service development.
