The energy trading company Energi Danmark, which is owned by Andel and NRGi, will have a new CEO when Louise Hahn takes office on 14 August. Louise Hahn’s most recent position was as CEO of GlobalConnect Denmark, and she has previously been Senior Vice President at Ørsted, where she held several senior positions over a period of 15 years.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Jesper Hjulmand looks forward to welcoming Louise Hahn:
“I’m very pleased to have Louise Hahn on the team. She offers great insight into the energy industry, a clear customer focus, and she will be a considerable asset to our continued efforts to strengthen Energi Danmark’s strategy, culture and management. We have an important task in communicating to the world the great societal value that Energi Danmark creates in the transformation of our society and energy system from fossil energy to renewable energy. Louise has the experience and skills required to handle that particular task.”
Louise Hahn looks forward to taking up the position as CEO of Energi Danmark and becoming part of a strong team:
“I look forward to becoming part of a competent and strong organisation, which has delivered solid results, and I also find the task of developing the company in collaboration with the entire team very exciting. Energi Danmark is known for its effective solutions, and the energy consumption of its customer portfolio constitutes a substantial part of Denmark’s total energy consumption. Helping the company’s customers successfully navigate the green transition holds great economic and societal potential. At the same time, there are powerful synergies from the interaction between the owners and Energi Danmark, which I look forward to bringing further into play to the benefit of our customers.”
With the appointment of Louise Hahn, Jesper Nybo Stenager, who has been acting CEO for the past six months, will continue in the Executive Board as Executive Vice President/CFO of Energi Danmark.
“I would also like to thank Jesper Nybo Stenager for stepping in when we needed his experience and insights – and for his work as acting CEO in the past few months, which have been characterised by an energy crisis and assiduous attention. Jesper has made sure that, despite the volatile markets, Energi Danmark has achieved a strong performance in the first six months of 2023,” says Jesper Hjulmand, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In addition to her role as CEO of Energi Danmark, Louise Hahn will be part of the top management forum of the Andel Group.
